little red dot trip

as a photo I re-blogged on my tumblr, GO at least once a year  to a place you never been before. School vacation is in the air,  tahun lalu kita ke beberapa daerah wisata di Bandung dan sekitarnya (that was our first trips to those places) 😀

anyway, we have been to this tiny country but we never go to…

The Giant Wheel 😀

“sit there at around 7.30” ceunah. Oke deh, cik…

Abis bayar, proceed to level 2, menjelang menunggu antrian padahal ada display2x macam museum mini gitu…cuma gue nyuruh anak gue skip aja, takutnya antrian panjang…hehehhe…later anak gue ngomel2x karena ngga bisa balik ke tempat itu lagi…#antimainstream doi.

Had our early diner, lalu kita nyebrang ke area art museum itu, Marina Bay shops disitu juga…yoi jalan itu nyebrang jembatan ..jauh bok, tapi anak2x kayaknya kuat2x aja tuh…pake duduk2x bentar di jetty-nya nunggu kembang api…dan ternyata…“gitu doank, bun…males ah” .

Namanya bukan tahun baru masehi juga pun….mulai merengek minta eskrim, sampe gue mau liat attire buat nge-gym ngedumel :p. Abis makan es krim ada kejadian sweet buat gue. Gue liat restaurant yang memamerkan deretan  cup cake namanya  High Society di lantai bawah, pengen coba Red Velvet Cakenya. Pas minta diambilin itu kasirnya ngomong ” you can’t have it ma’am, those go with Alcohol”. *Gasp*

Day 2

Suddenly, kiddo#2 got broken leg. Eh, terkilir gitu sampe dia susah jalan…oh em jee…gak tau kenapa.

Anyway, Kiddo#2 and I later had breakfast in that blue building…can’t you see it? its Ikea btw…hmppptt….

Since Kevin broke his ankle, he barely walk, gue repottt sendiri jadianya…tapi tetep…niatan gue ke Alexandra sini adalah…pengen nyebrang ke mall depannya, yang konon kabarnya jual Asics dengan harga diskon *evil smirk*. Pas jalan sekitar 200 m dan  nyebrang gue dah capek gendong dia, terus dituntun aja, lalu  ada uncle  lagi nyebrang juga  bilang “lemme hold him lah…”

terus megangin Kiddo until the other end. “xie xie uncle….” :p  Ah, second sweetest thing during this trip! Pas on de way kesana (Alhamdulilah uncle taxi-nya baek banget, model supir taxi burung biru jaman dulu), gue lewat Holland Av kalo ngga salah. Di sisi kiri jalannya teduh banget, macam hutan gitu ngga ada bangunan sama sekali. I was wondering what was it. Sampe Paragon, ternyata Asics lagi stock opname…tokonya tutup! Gonjreng, BT gue…tapi shop assistantnya bilang jam 3-an buka…baeklah…mari ke Times Book Square nyari buku Little Miss series. Ntah kenapa my kiddos love this series. Eh sebelumnya ke Guardian dulu deh, nyari salep buat kaki terkilir. Pas gue nyari2x, kiddo#2 duduk dilantai gitu aja. Pas gue balik ke tempat dia lagi, a shop assistant kasih keranjang belanjaan buat didudukin sama dia. Whoa…sweet thing #3 during this trip. Xie xie aunty…

Dan tentu saja…ke toko mainan liat Nerf. zzzzttt….to make story short, akhirnya…itu foto Kiddo#1 di kanan bawah bawa” mainan” sang bunda *evil smirk*. That is it, misi berhasil dieksekusi  ;).

Back to the hotel, dan…dijenguk sama Gita yang ternyata bawa rombongan sirkus…dan ternyata lagi ulang tahun hari itu. 😀 Jadi deh kita potong kue. And Kiddo#2 sempat dipijit sama Gita,,,mendadak bisa lari lho dia.

Kiddo#2 sama Bang F sempet main bola juga with the locals. Couple of hours later, we headed back to the hotel dan ‘piknik’ di hotel =)).

Day 3

The highlight of this trip…tentu saja….;)

Needless to say lah..udah banyak yang kesini. Saking exciting-nya belum buka kita dah sampek. Untungnya datang pagi belum antri aja.

And I told you buat yang belum, Transformer the ride…. is a must! And btw, ada 3 rides yang di skip, Mummy and Battlestar Galactica itu (both blue and red lines). Kiddo#2 belum cukup tingginya…gue pun ngga berani 😀 *gigit gigit kuku*. Dan..ngga ada macam orang2x yang foto sama ini itu, tokoh madagascar or what ever itu…i told ja..my kiddos #antimainstream, males mereka foto2x gitu. nanti kelamaan antri katanya…idih banget deh… T_T.

By 4 o’clock kita dah nyobain semua except 3 ride termasuk pertunjukkan Waterworld , Monster Rock itu and Film Effect ala Steven Spielberg itu. Hore…kesampaian (lagi) keinginan kiddos naik LRT :).  had dinner in Buangkok, a thai halal restaurant…then heading back to Killney Road.

Day 4

ambil flight pagi cause I think better spend some time at the airport. Hore! 😀

my latest trip – Singapore

continue from my latest trip,

It was at about 5 pm Harbour Front’s time, 🙂

yep I cross the border to Singapore.

It was my first trip to this country by ferry.

It kind of pissed me of a bit, when the immigration officer spend so many times just to stamp the passport. The immigration officer at Changi Airport were quick!

I saw many of them were being interviewed, probably an illegal imigrant?

We stayed at Mandarin Hotel at Orchard Road, I stayed there about 8 years ago.

Not long after that, each of us doing sperate ways…

I planned to visit my friends from college Gita who has moved to Pungol from Simei.

I headed to Somerset MRT.

Now that I wasn’t familiar with MRT Vendor Machine, it took minutes for me figuring out buying the ticket.

Luckly, a singporean man help me buying a single trip ticket. I had to change the vehicle in Dhouby Gout Station, I remember it was a small, less people, quite MRT station now it is HUGE!

Arriving at Pungol (the last stop for North East LIne), I proceed to higher level getting on LRT to Meridian.

Yeah, it is my first trip using LRT – it’s monorail look a like.

But when I put my card to open the gate at Meridian Station, it didn’t work.Wussie

I was panic, the old man on news papper stand didn’t help me either.

The machine gate said my card was under credit.

Then I remember, the man at somerset press Pungol on the vendor machine instead of Meridien.

take a glimpse at the Meridien Station, I found another vendor machine and put another cents on that.

*fiuh* now I can get out.

I spend like 2 hours in GIta’s new house, my daughter like Fathir so much, she even declare to everybody that Fathir is her Singaporean boy friend.

(alas, she’s only 4!).

We asked for Mas Roni (Gita’s husband) permission for mommy time out P

We hit Mustafa Centre in Little India the place where I bought many chocoholates for my colleagues back in Jakarta.

Of course I won’t miss buying After Eight Chocolate Mint for my self, taste heavenly and bought a Punjabi Dress for my daughter.

At 10.30 pm we were heading to Farrer Park MRT Station, and said good bye. Thank you gita for accompany me. See you on June, Insya Allah.

I woke up a bit late, and meet my colleague at breakfast lounge.

Again, we were heading seperate way, realizing my cashflow wasn’t fully recovered yet from my last trip to Kuala LUmpur P I didn’t want to spend anything here.

I decided heading Bugis Street to spend the day after I did window shopping at Paragon. I took many pictures, how I like this clean country – tourist friendly – east meet west buildings – even I’m broke…:P

I wish Jakarta would be like this….*dreaming*

An hour later, the sky was dark I get in OG, it wasn’t Great Singapore Sale yet, but I saw a-Red- Polo Beverly Hills – 4 wheels- cabin allowed by IATA- luggage- for 50% off!

My insanity back, I purchased that RED luggage and drag it over back to Orchard Road (the size was acceptable for cabin and MRT). Putting my previous small luggage inside, checked out and heading back to Harbour front.

Back in Batam, we had lunch in Padang Restaurant, heading to Nagoya for sightseeing. There were lots of Bag (claimed branded) & perfume shops, but I doubt those are genuine. I only bought – imported from Malaysia chocholates, candy and drink. Hard to find some of those in Jakarta.

Unfortunately, the access to Cengkareng Airport. *sigh* was closed due to flood. This is embarassing, considering that Jakarta is the Gate To Indonesia. So, our flight was cancelled for 2 hours. Anyway at 11.00 pm arrived back in my house. J

What at trip! 3 different islands in 3 days!
