My #1 chose this movie, on Hari merdeka.Gave me a “huh?” question before I finally agreed. I got used to her always-opposite-to-mine- taste. As much as I love history, I hate this genre of movie.
Name after a city, when UK and French lost the battle during WWII , and Winston Churcil had to save his clueless 400,000 soldiers with invasion from NAZI. they had to waited and tried to survive in the designated beach the best they can do. Some soilders just got frustated and jump to the sea. I believed the situation was too frustrating for them.
War is suck, hope it never happen again in my country and other part of the world. read Yousuf’s story here
And for whoever died, tried to save other’s life, no matter what race or religion they were, may their brave soul rest in peace 🙏🏽
There was one screen showed that one of the survive British Soldiers wanted to come out of the boat.
“I want to see the cliff!” He said
Then the screen play was in Dover. A beautiful white cliff.
After watching this movie, I looked at the map. i’m currious because the British Chief in Commander (in the movie) always said
“Home is in front of us” with a sad look.
Ahh, it is! I have no clue is not ‘that’ far and Dover Cliff is a beautiful national park!
THE TEACHER’s DIARY
Another Thai’s movie I watched and this one also from GTH production. I watch many of its movies.
the Story is about Mr Song and he is a teacher in remote area in Thailand. don’t know which part of Thailand though. he is replacing Ms Ann who quit the job earlier that semester because her boyfriend asked her to (they want to get marry soon).
As an Indonesian, I could relate to a teacher must teach in poor-rural-area. Hero!
I can imagine Ms Ann’s lonely soul, living in with poor infrastructure area and she wrote all her galauness in diary to kill time, which she accidently left at school before she left for good.
By reading her diary, Mr Song fell in love with Ann , a woman he never met…and so did Ann to Song later on…a man she never see in person but the four students keep mentioninh his name.
trust me, this isn’t cheesey love story movie.
At least, at the end of movie Song yelled “SAWADIKARP P’ANN”

Waktu premiere di NZ, heboh banget si dunkirk ini, secara NZ kan commenwealth, nah dikit2 hubungannya sama Inggris mayan heboh.. tapi gua gak suka film dengan tema perang walopun kdg yah ada juga yang gua tonton.
kalau film Thai ntah kenapa selalu menarik, walopun gua lebih sering nonton film horrornya, hahaha.. tapi semenjak disini, rada jiper nonton horror.. sepi soalnya, suka mikir ngga2 haha..
How sepi is NZ? Hahahah, dulu kepikiran apply resident kesana sayang point ngga cukup 😀
Kalau ke kota gedenya, as if auckland, wellington, christchurch dan queenstown pasti rame. Tapi tempat aku tinggal ni, sepi yoo.. jam segini (18.00) uwis gelap trus dijalan sudah ga ada orang, plus kalau hujan apalagi..
Katanya bisa dapat point gede kl tinggal dikota kecil.. Cuma kalau aku untungnya karena pasangannya asli NZ, gak pake point2an ( kayaknya yaaa )
Pas nonton Dunkirk aku ga menikmati jalan ceritanya. Terkaget2 dengan efek suaranya dan bunyi tembak2an juga bomnya. Jadi sepanjang film adanya tegang mulu. Mana duduknya sebelah speaker pula, duh makin menjadi.
Samaaa. Aku bolak balik ke kamar mandi. Hahahahah
Suamiku kecewa nonton Dunkirk. Dia suka banget sejarah apalagi yg perang2 jadi ekspektasinya film perang. Menurut dia, prajurit yg di Dunkirk sengaja dilepasin sama pak kumis karena harusnya kekejar dan bisa aja dihabisin Luftwaffe.. entahlah kak.. tapi btw aku pingin bisa ke dunkirk suatu saat pingin liat oyaa sama ke pegunungan Arden tempat peninggalan perang2 hehehe
Yang emang gitu, sengaja di desak mundur ke Dunkirk biar lebih gampang dibina….sakan. Tapi Churcil tetep mau menyelamatkan soldiers dia.
Ya memang banyak teori (konspirasi) kenapa Pak Kumis ngelepasin mereka. Salah satunya agar Churchil bersedia berdamai dengan Pak Kumis.
Nahh iyaa ini mas yg dibilang suamiku tapi ya itu sekedar teori.. logikanya kan di lapangan terbuka gitu ditembakin dari udara selesai nasibnya prajurit 😦
Pakai istilah pak Kumis pikiran gw malah si Bapak yang jadi dubes sekarang di negara kalian tinggal :)) *maaf om F, pernah numpang makan rendang padahal di rumah dinas blio* 😀
Pengen nonton The Teacher’s Diary..Loe kalo nonton film Thailand dimana sih, Ky? Kayaknya film Thailand yg loe review seru seru n I think we have the same genre interest..kayaknya kalo sekali kali nonton bareng seru nih..#serius ☺

I was intrigued to watch Dunkirk beause of, honestly, Bang Harry Styles, hahaha and of course the director. However, it took a while until I went to see this – as I knew what the film was about and I thought, watch or not, watch or not, … and Bang Harry was indeed pretty good, in my opinion haha…
